Meet the Founder

Eunice Kajoba (they/them) is an equity practitioner with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from York University as well as an undergraduate commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. They have extensive experience working within the human resources space in a variety of industries but most notably in the consulting and technology sectors.

As someone who identifies as both Black and Queer, Eunice has lived experience navigating corporate spaces as an individual with intersecting identities and brings this lens to their work as an equity advocate. They are a highly knowledgeable advisor, workshop facilitator and public speaker to both internal and external groups at local and national levels.

Eunice full-heartedly believes that the best and most successful work environments are the ones that enable employees to be authentic by deliberately creating spaces that recognize, support and nurture the uniqueness of individuals. They combine their knowledge and experience of HR practices, intersectional frameworks and equity focused strategies in all elements of their work in order to help organizations achieve impactful and long-term success.

“I named the business Monachopsis because it serves as a daily reminder of exactly what I want to change. Too many marginalized individuals enter the workplace at one time or another and know this feeling. I believe it’s time to put an end to that narrative and it starts with organizations taking a deep look at the systemic barriers within their own structures and cultures. It’s time for companies to realize that inclusion must be a deliberate action that recognizes the whole self at every intersection.”
